The Ping i15 fairway woods is the first time Ping have launched a better player fairway wood as part of the i-range. Thanks to Ping’s internal weighting system the i15’s centre of gravity has been moved low and back to reduce spin. Compared to the G10 fairways the Ping i15’s head is shorter and more compact and the MOI has been increased by an elongated head design. Despite this increase in the moment of inertia the i15’s retain the playability that the best golfers demand from their fairway woods.

The Ping Rapture V2 3 fairway wood is the result of Ping’s focus on multi-metal technology in which the key properties of various materials are combined to optimize performance. The Rapture V2 3 fairway wood features a tungsten sole plate that constitutes 34% of the head’s mass to position the centre of gravity for a higher launch angle and lower spin, which coupled with more loft (16 degrees) ensures the ball goes further with a more boring ball flight. The head of the Ping Rapture V2 has also been designed with a larger, shallow head profile to deliver added forgiveness and optimise performance in all conditions. The head is plasma-welded and the machined face is of variable thickness to maximise distance. The Ping Rapture V2 3 fairway also features the distinctive Double-Rapture alignment aid on the crown.
