About Greg Nicholson Golf & Leisure

The company was founded in 1978 and was the first independent golf high street retail outlet in the North West of England. A family business which grew from strength to strength, realising that golf was not just a sport for the privileged during the late 1970s and through the 1980s. In 1984 the site of the business changed due to the growth of the golf retail business which saw Greg Nicholson Golf at the forefront, stocking all the latest equipment & clothing that golf had to offer. In 1989 the site of the premises was extended to make the store cope with the ever expanding golf trade. Also Greg thought that it was in the customers' best interests to have an up-to-date custom-fit swing room to ensure customers got clubs fitted to their own personal specification. Since Greg has been associated with the golf industry, and his professional sales advisers, he has endeavoured to put customer service first.

Custom fit has never been easier,with our new member of staff highly acclaimed master clubmaker Terry Gilbert.With Terry having over 40 years in the business no better person is equiped to deal with your club custom fitting.So if it's from the smallest repair (re-grip) to fully custom fitting a set of irons to your exact measurments we have the facilities to provide this service.Also with the use of a nearby driving range trying demo golf clubs we can take you on a 1 to 1 experience in making sure you purchase the correct set of clubs for you.Terry is also a P.G.A qualified teaching profesional that has spent many years at the forfront of teaching golf at home,abroad aswell as the rich and famous.
